FAQ

How do we book?

The first thing to do is to get in contact with me either by filling out an enquiry via the contact page of my website or by sending me a message on Instragram @daynalaurenphotography or by sending an email to daynalaurenphotography@gmail.com
From there we discuss my availabilities and what date you'd like. Once we have worked out the date I hold it for 24 hrs while you pay a non refundable $100 deposit (No date is secured until the deposit is paid)

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a non redundable deposit of $100 is required to secure a session date.

Do you travel for shoots?

I sure do! I am based on Surf Coast/Geelong and also Western Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Outside of these locations may incur a travel fee which will be discussed upon booking. Want me to travel anywhere else in Aus? I will, just cover my travel and accomodation and I'll see you there.

How do you accept payment?

Either by bank transfer or cash. Deposits are require to secure a date then the remainder is due the day of the session in cash or by bank transfer the day before.

Do you provide raws?

No. My work is not complete without my edits, my style, my art.

What if it rains?

Weather is totally out of anyones control. If it is forecast to on the day of your session I discuss with you the latest time you'd need to know by and I make the call whether we will need to postpone or if I think we can still capture magic.

How long until we receive our images?

My general turnaround time is 3-4 weeks but often I get them out sooner.

How many images will be receive?

You receive an online gallery of a varying amount of photos depending on the length of your session 100+ images . From there you select your set package amount to then download. There is also the option to upgrade for an extra fee to add more than your set package amount of images.

Do you back up your images?

YES! I backup your images straight after your session then backup a further two times while editing. I have a fear of losing images so go a bit overboard backing up.

What should we wear for our session?

The styling of your session is a key element to your overall photos. I recommend neutral palettes, earthy and muted tones. I feel these compliment my editing style, create a timeless image that will not date and avoids you looking back and wondering why you chose that colour or patterned outfit. Neutral tones are very complimentary of natural beauty, the environment around and allows the focus to be on your connections and feelings. I know styling can be overwhelming so I am here to help and guide. I have a small growing client wardrobe that you have access to use.

Can we order prints/frames/albums through you?

Of course! I highly recommend and am a big enthusiast of printing your precious moments. Your photos are meant to be looked at not in a cupboard on a hard drive. Looking at photos brings upon many feelings and emotions and I feel makes your house a home.
I have trusted companies I use for professional printing and framing and can assist you on gallery wall planning, sizing of frames, style of frames and prepare all the files and order it all for you.

How far in advance should we book in?

I take bookings up to 6 months in advance currently. Especially for maternity and newborn where you generally want with certain timeframes I recommend booking with plenty of notice.
But for events please contact me as soon as you have a date or are thinking of having your event photographed as I don't want you to miss out.

"Going in to our family photoshoot I was a little nervous. I don't usually enjoy having my photo taken and I wasn't sure how the two kids would respond. But, Dayna was absolutely incredible! Not only did she take the most stunning photos, she also helped us curate outfits that would work well together. Dayna involved my 3 year old in the process and gave him little jobs to do so he felt so comfortable and the experience was so fun! I couldn't recommend Dayna highly enough."
